Similarly, it is a great idea to apply that same business philosophy to investing. For example, let us say that you believe, as I do, that oil prices will not stay low forever. Instead of investing in major integrated oil and gas companies such as Chevron or ConocoPhillips, you should look further to companies specializing in oil and gas drilling and equipment. Perhaps you are intrigued by President Obama's plans to spend an unprecedented amount of money on infrastructure. Instead of investing directly in a company like Fluor, you should look further to companies that transport the commodities needed for such and endeavor.
